1. About the service
DVDent Library (the “service”) is a web service in which the clinic DVDent spol. s r.o., ID No. 25435710, registered office Chovatelů 336, 413 01 Vědomice, Czech Republic, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Ústí nad Labem, section C, file 18292 (the “clinic”) makes professional materials available: lectures, course recordings, presentations, procedures and other documents (the “materials”). These terms govern the use of the service and the materials.
2. Access and account
- Access is granted upon request and its approval by the clinic. There is no legal entitlement to access.
- The account is personal and non-transferable. Do not share your password and do not lend your access. Report any suspected misuse of the account to abuse@dvdent.cz.
- The clinic may limit access in time (for example to a period after a course), restrict it or revoke it at any time, in particular if these terms are breached.
3. Materials and copyright
- The materials are protected by copyright. Their authors are physicians and lecturers; the rights are exercised by the clinic or by the authors themselves.
- You may view and download the materials for your own professional education and your own practice.
- Without the clinic’s prior written consent you may not:
- provide the materials to other persons, publish or distribute them, in whole or in part;
- upload them to other services, storage or social networks;
- modify them and present them as your own;
- use them for commercial purposes, for example for your own courses or lectures.
- The clinic’s internal procedures are intended only for work in the clinic. [verify with the clinic: does this also apply to other materials for employees?]
4. Confidentiality and patient protection
The materials may contain clinical cases, photographs and images. Keep any information about patients you come across in the materials confidential and do not attempt to identify patients. [verify with the clinic: do the materials contain patient data? Are they anonymised?]
5. Professional nature of the materials
The materials are for education. They do not replace individual clinical judgement. You are responsible for the procedures you apply in your practice based on them. [verify — the scope of the disclaimer to be reviewed by a lawyer]
6. Availability
The clinic strives to keep the service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It may add, change or remove materials at any time.
7. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time on the My account page. Closing it ends your access and your personal data is removed as described in the privacy notice. The obligations under sections 3 and 4 continue after the account is closed.
8. Changes to the terms
The clinic may change these terms. You will be informed of a new version at your next sign-in. To continue using the service you need to agree to it. If you do not agree, you can close your account.
9. Final provisions
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. The stated version applies from the day it is published in the service. In case of any discrepancy between the Czech and English versions, the Czech version prevails.
